Good artists borrows, great artists steal... Poe believes creation is in fact an act of theft. You have an idea, either from "inspiration" or someone else's suggestion. You produce that idea in a medium so that it can be shared with or distributed to others. Where does that "inspiration" come from? It is the culmination of life's events and experiences? Such as things you've seen, people you've met, places you visited? Moments you have taken along life's journey. And so everything you create, in part, has a history, a past — and hopefully a future.
Poe expresses his ideas in many forms and mediums. In 1989, he began with illustration and painting, then transitioned into design and marketing. Currently he produces pieces for both print and the web for local, national and international clients.
